Pandas is a very popular Python library and its name comes from Panel Data and Data Analysis.
The official documentation insists on naming
pandas with lowercase letters and the import statement should be
import pandas as pd.
In order for
pandas to function you will need to have installed on your machine the following:
- NumPy – The fundamental numerical array package
- python-dateutil – Date-handling-library
- pytz – Time zone definitions handler
You can install
pip by running the following command in the terminal:
pip3 install pandas
Or you may want to try:
pip3 install pandas rpy2
rpy2 is an interface to R. It is required because
rpy is deprecated.You may need to use
sudo with your command if your user account doesn’t have sufficient rights.
