Building an e-Commerce website with Node – Part 04 – Installing nodemon

Nodemon is an utility that automatically restarts your server when changes are made in your code. Without nodemon you will need to close your terminal and start it again to see the changes in action. Nodemon automatically searches for changes and restarts the server if changes are found.

Note:
You should install the latest stable version of Node.js if you haven’t done it yet.

In order to install nodemon all you have to do is to open a terminal and type de command sudo npm install nodemon -g.

You will be asked for the password before the actual install starts. -g means that you install nodemon globally.
